Former San Dimas High School standout Jake Ferretti competed for the Youngstown State Penguins on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m., in an NCAA Division I baseball contest that ended in a 9-3 defeat to the Longwood Lancers.

Buddy Bolding Stadium hosted the matchup. It marked the teams’ second game of the season. The Penguins secured a 2-1 win over the Lancers in their previous meeting on Friday, Feb. 27.

Ferretti gave up four earned runs while recording two walks and one strikeout in 0.1 innings pitched.

The Penguins are set to face the Longwood Lancers again at Buddy Bolding Stadium at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.
