At 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, featuring former San Dimas High standout Jude Favela, edged out the FIU Golden Panthers 5-4 in an NCAA Division I baseball matchup.
Nick Denes Field hosted the contest, marking the teams’ second game this season. The Hilltoppers claimed a 15-4 victory against the Golden Panthers in their initial meeting on Friday, March 13.
Favela pitched 2.2 innings, surrendering two earned runs, issuing three walks, and striking out three.
The Hilltoppers are set for another game versus the Golden Panthers at Nick Denes Field on Sunday, March 15.
