On Sunday, Feb. 2, former Monrovia High School standout Kate Nelson’s current college team, the San Francisco State Gators, won 8-7 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Vanguard Lions.

The game took place at OC Great Park. This was their first matchup against the Lions this season.

The Gators’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 12 p.m. at SFSU Softball Field against William Jessup Warriors.
