The Citrus College Faculty Learning Institute (FLI) has named Dave Brown, automotive technology instructor, the college's Distinguished Faculty Award recipient for 2022.
Mr. Brown's contributions to Citrus College include continuous service on various shared governance committees throughout his tenure, as well as his assistance in obtaining certification from Toyota for the automotive program.
He has assisted hundreds of students in obtaining employment by engaging with local car dealerships and independent shops. Mr. Brown is a very patient instructor and generous with his time. He is highly professional, always going above and beyond for his students.
Mr. Brown was nominated by his colleagues Anna McGarry (Spanish), Jeremy Clark (automotive technology), Mariano Rubio (automotive technology) and Terry Miles (chemistry). He will be honored at the college's commencement ceremony on June 18, 2022.
