The Duarte City Hall ADA Improvement Project will be under way starting September 2022. This project's mission is to enhance ADA features around City Hall that will make visits more accessible, safe, and convenient for all residents. Construction is projected to be completed by the end of 2022.
The Duarte ADA Improvement Project includes plans to remove architectural barriers that may impede disabled visitors' path of travel from Huntington Drive, the City Hall parking lot, and within the City Hall Courtyard. This project includes the installation of handrails, ADA-compliant ramps, and directional signage. Other elements of this project include landscaping, irrigation, lighting, outdoor furniture, and general aesthetic updates.
Funding for the Duarte City Hall ADA Improvement Project is provided in part by a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the City General Fund.
Public notices of alternate access routes to civic center facilities and project status updates will be made available on the City of Duarte Website by visiting www.accessduarte.com
