Noemi Barajas, DNP, FNP, RNC-MNN, was appointed interim director of health sciences.

Citrus College is happy to share that Noemi Barajas, DNP, FNP, RNC-MNN, was appointed interim director of health sciences. Her start date was today, Sept. 14, with board of trustees approval scheduled for Oct. 18.

Dr. Barajas has 19 years of teaching experience. She began her career at Citrus College in 2011, serving as a full-time faculty member in the nursing program. In addition to teaching in both the vocational nursing and registered nursing programs, she served as the college's Associate Degree in Nursing program coordinator in 2016-2017.

Prior to joining the campus community, Dr. Barajas accumulated over 20 years of professional experience, which included positions as an adjunct faculty member at Azusa Pacific University; a nursing instructor for the Los Angeles Unified Adult Education program; a registered nurse; a home health nurse; and a family nurse practitioner.
