Congratulations to Michelle Soriano, a June 2022 graduate of Citrus College. She recently began taking classes at California State University, Dominguez Hills. "It was great to graduate from Citrus, and I am looking forward to getting to know a new campus and new people," Ms. Soriano said. "I am going to embrace all of my new opportunities."
Ms. Soriano originally enrolled at Citrus College after being placed on disability. "I wanted to do something for myself, while also serving as a good example for younger generations," she said. "I wanted to show other students with disabilities that if I can do it, they can too."
Not only did Ms. Soriano "do it," but she did it well. She earned an associate degree in pre-allied health and an associate degree in psychology during her time at Citrus College.
"I'm going to miss everyone at Citrus," she said. "All of the teachers who helped me, all of the tutors who spent time with me and everybody I met at every event – they will always be in my heart!"
Good luck on your new campus, Ms. Soriano! Citrus College is rooting for you!
