New Winter Events

Are you ready for some holiday fun and cheer? The City of Duarte is officially kicking off the winter season with brand new winter events alongside the return of the City’s popular events from the past!

For the first time this year, the Duarte Parks and Recreation Department will host a new and fun Gingerbread House Decorating Party! Duarte kids are welcomed to join us at the Duarte Community Center (1600 Huntington Drive) on Wednesday, December 5 from 5-7 PM to create their very own gingerbread house. Every registered child will receive their own gingerbread as well as plenty of candies and frosting to help them create their one-of-a-kind gingerbread cookie house. Make sure to pre-register and reserve your cookie home on the City’s website by Monday, December 5.

The Duarte Parks and Recreation Department would also like to announce a second, new holiday event: Underwater Picture with Santa! On Friday, December 9 from 4:30-7:30 PM at the Duarte Fitness Center Pool (1600 Huntington Drive), enjoy a twist on the classic holiday photo and get your very own, one-of-a-kind, underwater photo with Santa! The evening will be filled with plenty of holiday cheer and spirit, so make sure to wear your most festive holiday swimsuit and bring your goggles. The last day to register for the event is Friday, December 2. For more information, contact the Fitness Center at (626) 357- 6118.

The City and Duarte Parks and Recreation Department are always looking for new ways to bring the community together and celebrate, so be sure to come out and enjoy this year’s new holiday events! Along with our new and exciting events, be sure to check out the return of our traditional holiday events. You can find a list of city events and event information on the Duarte Community Calendar on the city’s website.
