Citrus College hit the hardwood Wednesday after the holiday break and took on Moorpark College to open the East LA College Okawa Classic. The Owls couldn't find their rhythm offensively and fell 77-35 to drop to 4-8 on the year, while the Raiders improved to 9-5.
Giselle Garcia-Nunez was the lone Owl in double figures, posting 16 points (6-for-13) and 10 rebounds. Joceline Escamilla snatched a game-high 11 boards.
The Owls turn right around to face Orange Coast College on Thursday at 2 p.m. to continue the ELAC tournament.
