Interested in starting a business in Duarte? Applying for a business license has never been easier with our new online portal! We are pleased to announce that City business license services are now available on our website. Residents can apply for, renew, and pay business license fees from the comfort of their own homes. 

Duarte requires every individual or company conducting business in the City to obtain a business license. Registration and payment for a business license must be made prior to the commencement of business in Duarte. The online portal makes getting started very simple with easy-to-follow instructions. With the click of a button, residents can now:

Submit a business license application

Renew a business license

Pay a due balance

Close a business license

Search for licensed businesses

Request account information to be updated

Current Duarte business license holders can renew their business licenses and pay for their annual business license tax all in the same! The City sends renewal notices as a courtesy to the business owner, but it is the responsibility of the individual business owner to be aware of the business tax due date and send their online payment in a timely manner.

In-person business license services are still available at City Hall (1600 Huntington Drive).
