Introducing… the Metro Ambassadors program! Metro Ambassadors are here to support riders on Metro buses, trains, and stations, connect you to resources, and report maintenance and safety concerns. This program, designed to meet your transportation needs, is available to Metro riders throughout L.A. County including here in Duarte.
Metro Ambassadors will:
- Support you as you navigate the system. Metro Ambassadors provide a welcoming and visible presence and provide support that you can rely on.
- Connect you to resources, be it directions to get you where you’re going, info about how to pay your fare, or services available through our homeless outreach teams. Metro Ambassadors are here to help.
- Report any maintenance, cleanliness, or safety issues such as a broken escalator, a mess on a bus or train, or a safety incident. Metro Ambassadors are the eyes and ears on the Metro system that helps Metro respond to issues more quickly.
Duarte’s Transportation Division is committed to achieving safe, efficient, and convenient movement of people within Duarte. We appreciate the Metro Ambassadors program partnering with Duarte to assist our visitors and residents in accessing our local public transportation.
“We want to help you get to where you need to go,” said Assistant City Manager / Administration Services Director, Kristen Peterson. “The City of Duarte has many great transportation opportunities for residents to travel locally. Whether you travel by Metro, on one of our Foothill Transit-operated buses, or using an automobile, be sure to familiarize yourself with all our great transportation offerings!”
